CS2: is this a wishful thinking or did they implement some gui?

Postby khaimovmr » Wed Jun 07, 2023 5:41 pm

Looking into the videos - there is a bunch of places where they've added some new interface elements, like the loadout configuration (in the main menu) and the loadout selector in the game?

Is this a wishful thinking or did they, at last, implement the dynamic GUI elements, to create the inventory or something like this?

How great it would be to get something a lil bit modern than motd (that is unavailable in CSGO for a long period of time)...

I'll expand on the reason I've created the post.
The videos that are on the surface - are not for the developers and they don't have any valuable info for the devs and modders like the ppl of this forum.
The intention of this post is:
- to find out - is there any knowledge in our community to something we could rely on to have it as a basis, designing a new features for our servers
- to find out the general complexity of the coming code-rewriting that our mods would need on Source 2 release

So, basically it's the firestarter-post to start discussion on any available dev info out there. I haven't yet stumble upon anything of this kind.

I see some works on the CS2 already in https://gamebanana.com/games/18134.
Is there any chance to get a beta access to the CS2 SDK?

Tools are already out for the Source 2 engine and can be gathered from HL: Alyx, I already have tools for map creation, model creation, animation, video editing and items. I am quite sure the problem with CS2 modding at the moment is that there is no definitive SDK and iirc CS2 for the public is bound partially to the Source 1 engine. I see a few GitHub repositories and MPGH posts around this but nothing clear and I cannot find the stuff I need from the CS2 files I have. Lets see what comes in the near future... :)
