Builds > Download

Postby Kill » Fri Sep 23, 2016 8:28 pm

Hello,

I believe it's pretty confusing to find a download link, why not make the main domain(sourcepython.com) a download page, with builds... etc, and put the forum, wiki... links there?

Top of every forum page > Builds > click your game > profit!?

If anything a unified layout would be nice (where you always have the top nav bar, same look, etc), but since a lot of stuff (source/builds) are hosted externally that's virtually impossible and time is better spend on making SP better than making the site better to that point, imo.

Btw, if you want you can write your own auto-updater using a Jenkins library for Python, but for me atm SP changes to much to make that feasible.

Once we have the SP Project Manager up and running, there will be a link on there to download the current build, as well. That doesn't currently exist on it, so thank you for that suggestion.

We could also change "Builds" to "Current Build" in the top-bar, for better clarification. Having a unified layout isn't a bad idea, just not sure how feasible it would be to achieve.
